Online tutorial & conferencing

Gone very quiet in my tutor-group. I know I am not a saint in that I didn’t take part in the previous online tutorial. A couple of people have started the ball rolling in the life-writing online tutorial. I am not sure if I will get round to participating. The main TG conference is quiet.

My enthusiam has waned – remember back in January/February, we were all eager!

I shall plod along and get some sort of thing written for TMA 04. Haven’t started looking at the ECA.

Post mortem on tmas 02 and 03

Just got tma 03 back, guess what, it is competently conceived. Is this all I can write, nothing outstanding?

TMA 02 seemed to be more of something you’d find in a soap opera – it was overdramatic. I had rushed it, and what with computer problems, didn’t really do the story justice.

Poetry – I pulled my hair out over this section – I couldn’t get into any of the activities, didn’t have any inspiration or interest in them. Last month really seemed like a waste of £500 on a course when I couldn’t write, couldn’t garden (clubroot, slungs & snails, various pesties), had lack of energy to do things (including those I enjoyed) and didn’t sleep well.

TMA03 – I concentrated more on form and rhyme than on rhythm which the tutor said was the more important element in a poem. One line I was even scraping the bottom of the barrel, though I disagree with this comment.

Oh well, looks like I am going for a grade 3 pass.
